Spartans Community Football Academy 3i4ur
SIS provided £900,000 of finance to Spartans Community Football Academy to build an extension to their property. The extension allows them to provide changing facilities, a catering area, external storage, and increased café space for functions. Spartans now sustains 10 of staff and has exciting plans for their future, including expanding their Street Fit-Baw program. It has recently taken on a further loan from SIS for a new 3G pitch.
Perth Gymnastics Club 3q6v5h
Perth Gymnastics Club received £60,000 from SIS in order to purchase new equipment and therefore increase the number of classes it provides, as well as its hip. The Club works with adults and young people, with a special focus on young people with ADHD. They plan to double the number of participants in their classes with their brand new trampoline and continue ing their local community.
Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex 165zy
Newmilns complex secured £930,000 in 2013 from SIS, SportScotland, the Scotland Rural Development Programme, East Ayrshire Council and the Robertson Trust. Using the funds they were able to build a new 110m intermediate slope, to refurbish the existing slope, and to add a conveyor belt lift and poma.
Newmilns has doubled the number of visitors it receives to 16,000 per year, and now works with 77 schools in the area and s 56 youth and community groups.
